what is procedure to pay STT?

Securities transaction tax is deducted by service provider.
No...actually I am asking about method of paying STT...is it paid through challan like other taxes?? if it is paid through challan then which challan is used??
Stt is automatically charged by ur broker while buying or selling any stock. there is no other challan to pay sty
It is being deducted either through your demat account or while trading of shares and securities.

I hv observed in their bank statement which has a demat account linked with it .
