Section 80EE Interest on Housing Loan

Hi All,

I had taken Home Loan from a bank in December 2015 and has been paying interest since then. Am I eligible to claim the interest amount for deduction while filling ITR for FY 17-18? Please advise at the earliest.

  • This is the 1st house you have purchased
  • Value of this house is Rs 50 lakhs or less
  • Loan taken for this house is Rs 35 lakhs or less
  • Loan has been sanctioned by a Financial Institution or a Housing Finance Company
  • Loan has been sanctioned between 01.04.2016 to 31.03.2017
  • As on the date of sanction of loan no other house is owned by you

24 lakhs
9 lakhs
Repco Bank LTD
December 2015
No house was owned by me then

Loan has been sanctioned between 01.04.2016 to 31.03.2017
 

You can't take this because you are take loan  in  2015 Dec.
