Hello,
I have received intimation u/s 143(1) for a trust for AY 2016-17.
Department has disallowed deduction u/s 11.
Trust has Other Sources income of rs. 60,00,000
Rs. 69,00,000 has applied for religious and charitable purpose.
Due Date was 17-10-2016
Date of filing return was 30-03-2018.
Please help me to understand this case.

As per section 13, only when we are claiming exemption u/s 11(2), we have to file ITR before the due date.
section 11(2) talks about amount accumulated or set apart for application to charitable or religious purpose.
Since we have already appllied income for chritable or religious purpose, do we have to file ITR before due date?
But our return is related to AY 2016-17.
