Please clarify IPCC prospectus sec 6.7 (ii), it says "No candidate shall be admitted to IPCC EXAM unless... he produces a cerificate to the effect that he has undergone a study course, for a period not less than nine months, as may be specified by the Council for the relevant level(s), as on the first day of the month in which the examination is held".... I am joining coaching classes for different subjects but I don't think these tutorial classes will be able to fullfil the above certificate criteria. I was told that the 9 months are just calculated from the date of registraion and there is no need for this certificate...... PLEASE ADVISE Thanks in Advance Chaitanya

I clarified with ICAI and as per them the nine months is counted from the date of your IPCC registration, there is no certificate required for any classes etc. Hence, in case you have registered in July09 than you should be able to give exams in May10.
