sec 44ad and ada
Can a doctor who is running a clinic and also dispenses medicines file his returns under both sec 44ada (for sale of services in his profession) and under sec 44ad (for sale of medicines)

The question is whether the act of dispensing medicines to be considered as sale of medicines(bussiness) or as a part of treatment and hence as sale of services (profession)..the law is perhaps not clear on this.Hence the confusion ...I feel...

A Doctor can't run Medical shop separately. Medical shop only can run Pharmacist...
But, Doctor can run pharmacy with clinic. Then it's his profession, Not a business...

No, both sections can't apply simultaneously as the sales of medicines is incidental to the profession of doctors.
