Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether scriptwriting is considered a profession for tax purposes. It explains that for AY 2018-19, filing the Income Tax Return (ITR) after the 31st March 2019 deadline is generally not possible. However, individuals may be eligible to file under the presumptive taxation scheme (44ADA) and can apply for condonation of delay to the jurisdictional CIT if they wish to claim refunds or carry forward losses.

It a specified Profession under 44AA(1).

You are eligible to file income under 44ADA presumptive taxation.

For AY 2018-2019 the filing date ended on 31-3-2019 and now under normal course , you can not file ITR.

You have to obtain approval for Condonation of delay for ITR filing from jurisdictional CIT under 119(2)(b)
