Say no to junk foods

The next time before you enter into your favourite McDonald's or Pizza Hut or gobble up a packet of Lays, it would be good if you were aware of some of these facts:

 

  • A can of cola contains 10 teaspoons of sugar.

 

  • A super-sized order of McDonald’s fries contains 610 calories and 29 grams of fat.

 

  • A king-sized Burger King meal, (Double Whopper with cheese, large fries and large drink) contains 1,800 calories (mostly derived from fat and refined sugar). To ‘burn’ these calories would take nearly 6 hours of cycling (at 20 miles per hour). 

 

  • If you intake a packet of Lays, vow not to have salt in your foods for the next 2 days because you have already exhausted you salt quota for 2 days.

 

  • Artificial ingredients can contain an alarming variety of chemicals. For instance, ‘artificial strawberry flavour’ can contain about 50 chemicals… and no strawberries at all !!!!!!!

                                         

                                                      

 What junk foods can cause:

 

Obesity

 

 Heart Disease

 

 

Type 2 Diabetes

 

 

Stroke

 

Liver ailments

Please do think,..........

And leave the decision to your conscience........

Thanks a lot Tony for this post. I understand the dis-advantage of Junk food and avoid their consumption.

But it is very tuff to make everybody understand about this. But your post is a ray of hope towards a healthy life.yesenlightened

 

So keep posting !!!

Though there are many children born malnourished and hence deprived of a healthy life, we find many other children depriving themselves of their  gifted healthy lives by opting for junk food.

Lakin starting ke kuch din toh Junk food nahi khane ki soch kar chalte hai...lakin wahi office...wagera jaate jaate...ghar ka khana chhut hi jata hai...

 

Thank you Tony for spearheading awareness campaign against junk food. It will open eyes of other club members who eat such food. I always eat home cooked food and do not have a taste for aerated drinks. Inclination towards simple life has always kept me healthy. Hope other members will understand the value of  home cooked food.

Junk food is junk as the name itself suggests....

I am not anti junk food...Its just eat for fun, enjoyment and change . Simply minimise the intake and dont live on junks....

exactly it is an eye-opener post

I am addicted to junk foodblush ....... there is not even a single day wen i dont have chips and nearby resto burgercrying ........... m aware of the negativity ........but m not able to do anythng abt it sad..tried a lot to quit this habit ..all ppl out thr ,dont  get into the junk food trapenlightened ... trust me ..m facing many problems!!!!!!!! cryingsad.........

Very interesting.. My mother's cooking always best.. Homely food is far better than these 'junk' food..
