We had a factory owned under the name of Pvt Ltd company( only husband and wife as director). We have sold the factory now. We were told that under new rule of IT, capital gain tax is exempted to senior citizens. Is it true? pl guide.

There are no such exemptions to senior citizens. Only benefit available to senior citizens is income tax basic slab. Other than that, every thing is same to assesees irrespective of age.
The capital gains can be exempted if the sale consideration is invested as mentioned U/s 54....
