Can a director resign his office after attaining disqualification under sec 164(2)?

Yess but u can't file his dir-12
As soon as the director attains disqualification under Sec 164(2), he attracts the provisions of Sec 167-Vacation of office of director. Hence the question of resignation doesn't arises as he is deemed to be vacated from his office for 5 years.
