Hi friends,

I wanted to file the new ITR 1 (Sahaj) for a representative assesse. But there are no columns or any allocated space for mentioning that the same is filed by a representative assesse. What can be done in this case?

Hi Pushkar, took the sign through representative on normal place in return, and attach an authority letter in which it may written 'my representative permits by me to sign I.T.R.' like this and file your return accordingaly. Thanks and regards suraj pahuja

Why not gaurav, in case of e filing digital signature required and in case of return filed electronicaly but digital signature is not available then acknowledgement signed by representative and attach an authority letter accordingaly. Thanks and Regards Suraj Pahuja.

Thanks guys.....but in my client's case, the client has expired and her husband is filing the return on her behalf. Is it best that I fill up ITR 2 instead of ITR 1 (Sahaj) then? That's because ITR 2 has allocated columns for representative assesse.....
