TDS will be applicable on the rent if the total rent paid exceeds 120000 in a year......
plus the payer is otherthan individual / huf, or individual / huf coming under 44AB
Pls tell me what is the fact , because i have also same qry.

Ya TDS will attract on rent payment to port trust at the rate of 20% if the pament is made by company or 10% if the payment is made by an individual.
Tds is applicable for rent paid to port trust u/s194I. In case of rent paid to individual rate of tds is 15% and in case of others it is 20%but after crossing the limit of Rs.120000.
