Rent paid more than hra received

Dear Sr,

i will received HRA Rs.45000 but i will pay rent Rs.180000 in F Y 18-19 (this total is proposed this year ) so kindly advice how i can claim that excess rent i will pay which more than HRA in my Salary tax computation.

rent paid over 10% of salary

actual rent paid

50% of basic salary if the taxpayer is living in a metro city
40% of basic salary if the taxpayer is living in a non-metro city

least of the following can be deduct

but my question is if spent more than HRA amount is there any way to adjust this in salary tax calculation

You can check under section 80GG too. COompare between HRA Exemption amount and deduction you can get under 80GG. Opt for which is more beneficial to you. Also there are requirements to be met if you decide to take deduction u/s 80GG
