Registration of PTEC in Maharashtra for partner already having profession Tax registration under Gujarat

Please confirm, is it necessary to take registration for PTEC under Maharashtra profession Tax ?
Even as a partner of another branch of my business is in other state and I already taken the registration there under Profession Tax.
