Quick Summary
A GST-registered scrap trader inquired about the necessity of additional registration for using small quantities of acid in their work. The consensus from the discussion is that while GST registration is sufficient for trading, a pollution control certificate is likely required, even for minor acid usage. Guidance was provided on applying for this certificate online via the state pollution control board's website.
I think you r asking for registration for using acid like any chemical license or environment certificate. According to me in your case, it's not required
Yes Sasmita Mam. U got me right. I m already registered in gst for trading in scrap. i only wanted to know whether i have to take any other registration of other department like pollution control dro using acid in my job work ?
Sourav & Renu Ji Are u both sure about that bcz i also thought the same but was not sure since it uses only a small amount of acid per month.. lets say 10 litres.. so does he need that registration from pollution control board or chemical licence. Which one is appropriate if needed.
