Regarding tax filing and error in Form 16

I had declared my house property's loan interest for Tax deduction for the year 2010-2011.

But the possession of my house got delayed and now we didnt get the possession by March 2011.

But in the Form 16 that my company gave, i have already got deduction for the housing loan interest amount.

Now i want to pay additional tax and remove that deduction being shown from Form16. So how

can i pay that additional tax to india govt. I guess company will not change the Form 16 now bcoz

MArch 2011 salary is already paid. So only option is i have to pay the taxes directly to govt . What should

i do for that ??

even if march salary is paid, company can help u to revise form 16

if they dont, then u have to pay thje taxes as self assessment tax and file ITR

I required Form No. 16 for the Assessment Year 2011-2012

The company will not accept to pay the differential tax and issue a fresh form 16, as there is an interst liablity on them. you could pay differiential tax in any of the banks and file the same in ITR

I AGREE WITH MR. PRASAD
