When You filed Your return...???
June 2019 for April 18 to June 19
If You are filled before September-19 then ITC can be avail Your client... No more problem for taken ITC for the FY 18-19 in Jun-19.... (give more details)
But GST send me a notice with interest and penalty
As per Your query & My understandings with Rules "You can avail the ITC"
You can give Your explanation with supporting documents to AO...
Otherwise I can't get which way AO issued notice. So better to explain Yourself...
