Do you go for coaching classes for all subjects except ITSM and Audit? then study for 3-4 hours on a daily basis. Whatever you study in coaching, practice that at home and have a very strong conceptual understanding. Studying ITSM and Audit at home itself is enough to score well. I'll tell you the usual mistakes students do in each subject.
In tax, study service tax and VAT very thoroughly. these 2 are very easy chapters and will help you score atleast 35 out of 50 if preparation is adequate. In direct tax, usually students study only business income, capital gains and salaries properly. This is one mistake you should not commit. Don't skip clubbing of income, TDS, assessment procedures, Chapter VI-A deductions and those other small miscellaneous chapters. If you don't study them properly, you wont be able to complete a 16marks question fully.
In costing, please practice all the sums very thoroughly. Conceptual understanding is very important and practice is equally important. The first few times you practice, you are bound to make lots of mistakes which can be corrected only through repeated practicing. If you dont practice, then the first practice you'll be giving will be during the exam and you cant complete a sum without making mistakes. And one big mistake students make is that we dont study theory properly. Study theory very thoroughly. Some concepts in a sum could be understood only by studying theory. And theory constitutes for 35-40 marks(both costing and FM together) in the paper. Theory questions in the exam will be very easy and whatever you write will be given good marks.
Advanced Accounting is very simple. There are only formats to study.
Auditing, studying of theory is not enough. Remember key points also. If you're writing your answers in paragraphs, underline the important key words or lines. So then the people correcting your paper will see only that and will skip out a few other lines. So they might skip a few lines that you have written wrongly also.
Know your subject before you study. Hope you do well and i wish you all the best. Good luck!!
