Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) obligations for director salaries. Generally, if a director is treated as a regular employee, TDS should be deducted under Section 192 of the Income Tax Act based on the average tax rate. However, if the director's remuneration is not considered a regular salary, Section 194J may apply, with TDS deducted at 10% regardless of the amount, although this is less common for standard employment.

TDS on director remuneration shall be deducted u/s 194J irrespective of amount paid . (Rs. 30,000 limit is not available)

TDS @ 10%

If You are giving salary to Director and it's exceeding the BEL then You will as per regular Deductions as Salary Head.

No need to deduct u/s 194J if he is treated as Salaried.
Yes no deduction on director remuneration as per sec 194 J.
You need to deduct TDS on director remuneration as per section 192 of Income Tax Act if he is regularly employed by the company
Tds shall be deducted on salary u/s 192 by Average rate of tax calculated.
