Sir, I am working with Indo Tibetan Border Force (Central Government) and posted at Leh (Ladakh), Jammu & Kashmir since April 11, 2017. My DDO has deducted Income Tax from my salary. I belong to ST community (Halba) of Maharashtra. Sir, I may kindly be informed that can i get refund of income tax under section 10(26).

No, you are not resident of Ladakh.
But, earlier an officer of my community had applied for and he got refund. He was also working in my department.
section 10(26) states income according or arising to member of schedule tribe residing in area specified in Constitution or ladakh of Jammu & kashmir, or such states.
from any source from area,state as specified above. and income by way of interest or dividend on securities.
you need to satisfy so that you are resident in ladakh by domicile certificate or such other residing proof. then he maty consider your application
