Hi Friednds,

Last assesment year 2012-13 , my company auditor submitted my it filing manually. He said I will get 6000 as refend. And since one year i am running around the Income tax offiece at hyderabad. They are asking me to come againg and again, but not refunding my money. Some people said untill i give some money they won't refund my amount. What should i do , is there any way to give a complaint , about them are is there any way to get my amount.

Did you receive assessment summary u/s 143(1)

Check refund status on incometax website.

HI Mihir,

Thanks for your reply, actually in online it is showing everything except refund details. My accountant has filed manually not e-filing. E-filing is mandatory from this assesment year onwards. And I got form(16) from the company . There the details I have for refund amount 6608.

You can file a written submission with the AO. If not satisfied approach the IT Ombudsman. If the ITR had been filed online it would have been easier to get refund. Otherwise you have to grease their palms. No way -- its India.

Hi Venu

First of all you write a letter to your assessing officer (AO) & wait for the reply of the officer. After a reasonable time if no answer is received from the officer or the staff of the officer send a reminder letter & evenafter this no annswer is received file a RTI with the assesing officer stating that why my refund has not been issued yet. Always take acknowledgement of the letter given to the assessing officer.
