Refund is delayed because of bank not being validated yet?!

Hello All,

I need your help with my ITR filing.

31/08/2019 - I did the ITR filing and e-verification with refund.

05/10/2019 - The return status updated as 'Refund is determined after partial adjustment against the outstanding tax demand' in income tax portal.

10/10/2019 - I received an intimation email with title 'Intimation U/S 143(1) for PAN xxxxxxxx AY:2019-20'. The attachment included income tax calculation and there was some minor adjustments to my refund.

31/10/2019 - As the refund was not credited yet, I checked my profile and found that the 'pre-validate bank account' section had no bank accounts added! So, I added my bank details.

It's been more than couple of months since I did the ITR filing and over one month since I updated the bank details, but still I haven't received my refund. I think there's a problem with my bank details getting validated. I know they are validated instantly, but in my case I have no idea why the bank details aren't validated yet and if the refund is delayed because of the same. This is what I get when I go the bank details section on the income tax portal - https://www.screencast.com/t/DwywlslAJs

Can someone please tell me what should I do next? Thank you so much for the help!

Check with your bank whether same details are on record. Retry on eFiling portal after updating with bank.

Also check on - Track Refund Status facility on NSDL site.

Thanks for answering. I belive the same details are on bank record as well since that's what I see when I log into the online banking. Do banks have specific devisions for tax related queries? As for the NSDL site, it shows like this https://www.screencast.com/t/i6INc8e3JgR. What does that mean? And why is there a SBI email address in the contact section? Thank again for helping!!!

Your refund has been adjusted against outstanding demand of earlier years.

You must have received intimation under section 245 for "".... such adjustment CPC going to make unless you reply otherwise within ....days""

Thanks again. No, I didn't receive any intimation like that. As I mentioned, there's only one intimation 143 (1) with an attachment - It clearly shows my outstanding due is Rs. 10, but why the refund money hasn't been credited is just annoying me - https://www.screencast.com/t/Q6ejLJ9TqX

You go to eFiling portal and check under outstanding demand if anything there .

Otherwise raise under eNivaran and also use online --- refund Re-issue button .

Appears to be technical error at CPC .

You may mail me for help- ca.umesh11 @ gmail.com

Thank you. I don't see anything like 'outstanding demand' from the menu, can you please tell me under which tab is it listed? I've sent an email to the sbi email address provided in the contact section though.
