My client received notice under sec 143 1 related to outstanding demand since it was not reflected int their system.
How can i rectify now and what option should be choosen in rectification reason.
second Q is can i also change Resi. Status.. ? if yes ...then how.?

The person who filed the return shown as tax payable which was not paid and the return was filed. Later on that amount was paid and return was not revised.

You can file rectification return with following reasons available e-Filing portal
1.tax payment not matched with cpc order / other reasons
2. Request for change residential status

Rectification type select as data correction

Generate and upload rectified file

I assume it's for AY 2019-2020
Revised return can be filed upto 31-3-2020 if correspondence Intimation received under 143(1)

You better file revised return . That will take care of all your desired correction.
