Re-posting: 15 months gap between 2 AGM

Meetings 1263 views 3 replies

The AGM of the company for the financial year ended 31.03.2012 was held on 27.06.2012. We know that there should not be a gap of more than 15 months between two AGM's. Can anyone tell me what would be the due date of AGM for this year – whether it will be 26.09.2013 or 27.09.2013?

Hi Sumit,

Your question itself has its answer I quote"We know that there should not be a gap of more than 15 months between two AGM's"

Thus AGM may be held on any of the two days 26.09.2013 or 27.09.2013, In both cases its "NOT MORE THAN" 15 months. This is As per Section 166 of the Companies Act 1956 read with Section 210.

Thanks & Regards

Hi. My question was what would be the due date of AGM, in other words, what would be the last day of holding AGM? I understand from your reply it would be 27.09.2013. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Sumit,

Yes its 27th september the last date in this case. Its just that i wanted to emphasize on words NOT MORE THAN 15 months.
