Can an additional director be re-appointed as additional director as per Companies Act,2013?

There is not such restriction in 161(1) of CA,2013
but keep in mind such director is meanwhile not rejected in general meeting for appointment as director.

Better option is to vacate his office on date of AGM and file DIR-12 for his vacation and re-appoint him again in the same meeting of board as additional director till the next AGM of the company.
