It is not must .. But if you mention sections it fetches you more marks

Use of sections in the exam

As per my suggestion student should start writing sections and case laws at the PCC level itself. I would suggest you to make it a habit to remember sections along with case laws as it will surely help you a lot during preparation for CA final or other professional examinations. Section and case law knowledge is also very important for your professional working. It is 100% true.

Keep one thing in mind -- write the sections and case laws only when you are 100 % sure, otherwise leave it.

However let me tell you one thing you can easily clear your CA without sections but for me it is all about standards. Now the choice is yours.

agree with ankur sir , it is about standards & yes it definitely helps.........

Agreed with Abhishek....

SEDCDTIONS ARE TOPPINGS ON THE ICE CREAM AS I HAVE HEARED FROM MY SENIORS, SO KEEP LEARNING FROM NOW

One should complete the course first rather than craming the sections and case laws, after that if you have time you may go through the sections and case laws.

Not Compulsion, But its Preferable and Advisable to Write Section Number....Helpful in All Way:

if u r sure then its fruitful. but if u wrote wrong section then examiner direct cut ur answer and move ahead. Eg- U HAVE wrote sec. 40A(3) in place of 40A(2). since u r confused then only write main section as 40A
