Aaj arse baad jab suni uski awaaz, ............ ......... ......... ......... ....... Dur nighaon se bar bar jaya na karo ............ ......... ......... ......... ....... Zindagi se meri mujhe koi shikayat nahi ............ ......... ......... ......... ....... Ye dil na jane kya kar baitha,
toh laga ki mere bahut pass hai woh.
Ho gayi nam yeh aankhen jab hosh aaya,
aur paya ki kabhi naa puri hone wali aas hai woh.
Dil ko iss kadar tadpaya na karo
tum bin ek pal bhi jee na sakenge hum
yeh ehsas bar bar dilaya na karo
ha magar dil ki sunai deti koi aahat nahi
suna suna sa hai, berang hai bazaar-e-zindagi,
kya nazaraa hai ki ab maut ko bhi meri chahat nahi
Pooche bina hi mujhse faisla kar baitha,
Is zameen par toota sitara tak nahi girta,
Aur ye paagal dil chaand se pyaar kar baitha...
