I have completed my articleship on 31.12.2010 but haven't received service certificate from institute yet. Now i want to write may'11 exam. I filled exam form. but in form there was a section under which it is mentioned that certificate of service to be attach with form. Please clarify whether it is mandatory and also tell me can i got signed my form from any member or only principal could sign it.

get it signed from your principal as you have not received any communication from the ICAI. It would be the safest option.
My doubt is what is a service certificate i only received a letter of communication from SRO Chennai saying that i have successfully completed the articleship.
will i get another seprate certificate as such

@ parveen.. the letter you got is itself a service certificate.. so u won't recieve anything else.
