If FY ends on 31st march, AGM (other than 1st) can be held after 30th Sept only if you get an extension of AGM from ROC.

AGM should be held 6 months from the end of financial year, or closing of accounts

First AGM should be held withing 6 months from the Date of incorporation

Extention from ROC can be got provided there is valid reason,

Non completio of accounts cannot be cited as a reson for non conducting of AGM

WUD THE ABOVE PROVISIONS APPLY EVEN FOR A PRIVATE LTD. COMPANY???

No it does not apply

then wat are the provisions for a private ltd. company ?

I think all u need to read companies act

when company registered on 1st january 2008 then what is the date of AGM  for that company

D PROVSN REGARDING AGM IS: - D CO. SHULD HELD ITS AGM AFTER 6 MONTHH 4RM D BGNG OF ITS FY(1.4.08) OR BEFORE 3 MONTH FROM D ENDING OF ITS CALENDER YR. (31.12.08).

KUSHAL QN. IS APPLYING HERE IE, 7/10/08.

Is it compulsary that in BOD meeting directiors must specify the date of AGM. or is it possible to by the authorised person (by BOD) to decide the date of AGM.
