Query about PE II and articleship

Hi guys, some time last year the institute decided to extend the attempt for PE II students who had joined after PE I, to may 2009, and they also allowed those who had exhausted 5 attempts to appear in these two. Now, with the IPCC course introduced saying CPT passed students can start articleship after passing one group of IPCC, is there a similar provision for PE II students? Is there any provision for PE II students who have passed one group, to actually start with their articleship and still attmepting the other group in may 2009? Why is it that most people prefer to stay with PE II and not switch to PCC, though we can only start articleship after clearing, which is a long wait for results? Also, is it true that those who have exhausted 5 attempts can only stay in PE II for May this year, and will not be permitted to switch?  Also, out of curiosity , does anyone know what the average age of a newly qualified CA is? Thanks for your attention, cheers.

one pcc student got exepmtion in one subject in PCC examination held in month of november, so i would like to know whether he need 50 marks or more in boths subject? Please tell me what is the criteria?

No, he just needs to take the other 2 exams in that group, and ensure that his total is at least 150.  But  what about the other group. Hence it will be better to aim for high score in this group in remaining subjects.
