One of the client in my office paid tds by quoting wrong TAN. . So in his tan account the amount wont be credited. . Is there possibility to recover the amount or transfer the amount from the wrong TAN account to My clients TAN account?

Qouting wrong TAN/PAN invites penalty of Rs.10000/-. U should aaprouch NSDL for rectification if that amount uploaded on NSDL site and if not then Bank can rectify their report. the last option is letter to AO.

I think the challan correction can be done at the TDS Wing of the IT Department.
