Purchase of property in india of NRI
hello everyone my question is under which law whether Indian or foreign tds is to be deducted on purchase of property of NRI in India.

Sir but my CA is saying that tds to be deducted @ 20% but as per Indian law it is 1 % only

My dear Article, As per INDIAN IT act, 1% is when the seller is indian resident; but when he is NRI, its @ 20% (INDIAN LAW ONLY) u/s. 195. Please check that
