Dear All,

One of Client who is Veterinary Doctor Having degree (BVsc & MVsc). "BVsc.- Bachlor Degree in 2008 & MVsc.- Master Degree in 2010". He is self practitioner from 2010. but till date he has not taken PTEC Registration under profession tax. From which year he shall be liable to take the Registration Under PREC and Pay 2500/- per yaer.

Liable from 2010 itself. Generally it is a 8 year liability. So you are liable from the inception itself. Rs.2500 plus interest every year.

Hello Raj,

Whether there is moratorium period for liability. ie. tiability started from 2012 by taking 2 years moratorium period

I am unaware of any morotarium period in this case. Since liability arises as soon as there is engagement of profession unlike service tax where liability arises when services are actually performed.
