I have read on one website that
"Salaried persons are also liable to profession tax but their tax is to be deducted and paid by employer." So employer can cut this amount from employees salary. i have seen one employer who cut PT from employees salaries. Is this right.

Yes it is correct.
Employer has to pay that deducted amount to the sate govt. with in the due date.
Yes this is the usual practise. Profession tax is paid by the employer to the Govt. but ultimately bourne by the employee as it is deducted by the employer from employee's salary
