Professional (freelancer): Do I need to tax Audit for FY23 if my gross receipt is 50 lakh plus

I'm a freelance software engineer, my gross receipt crossed 50 lakhs in FY23. Do I need audit for FY23. OR i only need audit for next FY (FY24) if my gross receipt cross 50 lakh in FY23. Rules are kinda confusing, so need some clarification.

Quick Summary
If your gross receipts as a freelancer exceeded 50 lakh rupees in the Financial Year 23 (FY23), you are generally required to undergo a tax audit for that same financial year under Section 44AB of the Income Tax Act. While the audit pertains to FY23, the corresponding Assessment Year will be the subsequent one. Similar provisions apply under Sections 44AD and 44AE, though they cover different categories of income.

Rules are very much clear, the tax audit u/s. 44AB IT act applies for the same Financial Year when your professional turnover exceeds Rs. 50 lakhs. It is different matter that the relevant Assessment year will be the next.

Sec 44AD AND SEC 44AE ALSO PROVIDES SAME BUT CATEGORY IS DIFFERENT.
