Quick Summary
If you haven't filed your income tax returns previously because your income was below the taxable limit, but now require them for a housing loan, it is possible to file them retrospectively. You can file belated returns for up to three years, though late fees may apply. It's advisable to check the specific rules and deadlines to ensure compliance.
