They are elected by members Of the ICAI

I HAVE GONE THROUGH SOME OF THE MATERIAL AVAILABLE IN THIS RESPECT AND FOUND THE ANSWER OF FIRST PART - THE TENURE OF PRESIDENT OF ICAI IS OF ONE YEAR.

BUT NOT GOT ANY CLUE ABOUT THE SECOND PART.

IS THERE ANYBODY WHO CAN GIVE ANSWER?

There is no concept of automatic appointment.

Are you sure? We have not seen the election of President of ICAI. Every year there is an election for Vice president and since several years that person becomes the President of the ICAI. Is this only a tradition ?

And There no no such rule to become President for several years 

Last year President was different president and current there is different president
