Hello,

My final exam is due in May 14..
when will practice Manual of all subjects relevant to May 14 exams will be published.
Should I wait for them or do my prepartions from Jan 13 edition as available on Institute Website.

And Which reference Book should I refer for Direct Taxes?

What ever Practice Manual you have, that suffices. For DT if you have ample time then go for Vinod gupta, else you may opt for T N Manoharan.

For subjects other than IDT and DT, there should not be any major changes. Go for the Jan 13 edition. Wait sometime for the newer edition of IDT and DT and do those. In any case if it doesnt come out in time, go for the Jan 2013 edition itself and for important topics refer the newer versions that is available on BOS knowledge portal.

I would suggest don't refer the DT practice manual at all- if you are studying from VG sirs books or refering any other book with ample illustrations and practice questions. But do refer the supplementary study material that ICAI will publish.

For IDT, refer valuation chapters, CCR, CER 2002, and other chapters you find testable questions can be formed. Again refer supplementary study material.

Expect substantial questions from amendements.

there is a little change in practice manuals except for DT IDT, if you have those for AY 13-14(dt-idt), download supplementry study paper / purchase it from icai-vishwas nagar, as far as corporate law is concerned , companies act 2013 is n. a . for may exams.so go with old pm only.
