Yes this is possible. However total limit on assignments shall be taken after combining the ones done under your own firm and the partnership firm.

This can be done by the deed. The person who constituted the firm with ICAI shall add you their new partner via SSP. Thats all.
And there will no effect on standing of my prop. firm right sir?
