hello friends and seniors ,

i have googled a lot and was not able to find much information on what work a C.A actually does in an MNC . what are the assingments and responsibility.

there is lot of information regarding everything but strangely this topic is nowhere on web apart from 1 - 2 posts . i guess people do not cosider this topic while choosing a career . i also did not , so let this thread guide everyone .

please dont post any bookish lines here . let this thread be a collection of personal experiences of different chartered accountants across different fields .

some questions to help you express your answer more informatively

1) what kind of industry / mnc / company do you work in ?

2) what is your role there ?

3) what actually do you do there and how do you do it ? - your detailed answers are most welcome

4) what are you learning from that experience ?

5) what are your work timings ?

6) are you enjoying your job/ work ?

7)bad things/cons about your job ?

8) some tips for other students ?

please seniors take your 5 minutes and answer these questions , your 1 post here can make a lot of difference . i thank you for taking time in answering these questions in advance .

thanks for replying , yes you are right it it could be harsh asking that , but even before starting , a person should be aware of what kind of work will he or she would be doing . if someone asks you to be a cook , you know that you will be cutting vegetables , frying , steaming etc preparing different types and styles of food .

so people who are interested can go ahead , but if you are clueless about what your job is going to be after qualifying , what if after getting to know what you will be doing you may dont want to do anymore ?

i think it is a good practice for everyone to share just what they do , you dont have to specify your trade secrets . and it will not only help students but even other c.a . maybe someone has done only audit from begining he can get idea of what is like to be a tax consultant and other areas he may want to work and grow as a professional .
