Institute should maintain toughness.... it should have pass % as competitive but should not keep fluctuating deeply downwards from 8.7 to 3.6%... it will create pressure among students who have lost in current attempt also create fear to upcomming new students..... NOT a good sign for students and the institute..........

Dear freinds,

Congratts to all who became Chartered Accountants today.

May god give you happy and prosperous life ahead.

But I want to say something also to those students who didnt cleared this time.

As we all are aware of the passing percentage for past few attempts. It is decreasing drastically from last 3-4 attempts and this time it was 3.46%, a pathetic figure for CA Final students who gave May 2010 attempt, and also for those who are giving attempts for last 3-4 atempts but didnt cleared this time also.

If this is becoz of economic recession or slowdown, or may be becoz industry cannot absorb sufficient CA's, then why should only we bear the consequencies.

Institute is decreasing pass percentage every attempt at final level  to regulate the release of CA's, but as per my opinion this is not the way to balance industry's demand for CA's.

A student, who has spent 4 or 5 rigourous years for reaching at final level is blocked at the final level for so long, it is not good for future of this industry. It feels like cheated for the students who are studying hard and working in harsh conditions so that one day they will become CA. 

If regulating the release of CA's is the only motive of institute, then why should it be at Final level, why not at the entry level itself. Institute should make these barriers at the entry level by incerasing the required percentage to become eligible for this course, so that student could decide at an early stage whether he should opt for this course or not, instead of demoralising at the final level, which is a point of no return.

I m writing all this to make you all think on this issue. It is my personal opinion, it may not be acceptable to many of you. Thats why, we'll have further discussions on this issue depending upon the replies posted.

Everyone who read this is requested to post some reply on this issue.

We all know ICAI is impartial and deliberately moderates results to maintain the demand supply Gap.

But in this process they are screwing up many students Life.

Remember Newtons 3rd Law of motion,every action and equal and opposite reaction.

If ICAI is going to continue doing this ,all these students who suffer will go propagating that this course is only should be done if one believes in Luck and not hard work. That's enough No one will join CA course and course loosing its sheen like ICWA.

I agree with anubhav my view is also same has his view.

There is a strong thought in my mind that to become a CA one needs to do a lot of Hard work and pray to god to bless you with LUCK.

Only If hard work and Luck is there one can become a CA.

I AM TOTALLY AGREE ANUBHAV AND SANTOSH .

I DO NOT ADVISE YOUNGSTERS TO OPT THE CA COURSE RATHER THEY SHOULD GO FOR MANAGEMENT COURSE AND OTHER OTHER PROFESSION WHERE REQUIRED HARD WORK AND NOT ONLY LUCK.

THEY SHOULD NOT HAND OVER THEIR FATE IN THE HANDS OF A INSTITUTE LIKE ICAI WHO IS NOT AMONG THE 200 INSTITUTES OF ACCOUNTING PROFESSION IN THE WORLD.

ICAI HAS NOT THE GUTTS TO SHOW THE ANSWER SHEETS TO THE EXAMINEES THAT THE QUESTIONS ATTEMPT WERE CORRECT.

IF ONLY 3.46 % ARE THE BEST FOR PASSING THAN IT IS THE SHAME FOR THIS INSTITUTE ITSELF.

AND I HAVE NO ANY REGARD AT ALL FOR THIS INSTITUTE.

AND THIS IS THE REASON WHY EVERY STUDENT WANT TO CHOOSE THE DOCTOR , ENGINEER AND MANAGEMENT PROFESSION.

I totally agree with Anubhav, actually the fact is they just want to increase the revenue of the ICAI. They know every time students failed they will re-fill the form and they will earn money. that is y they increased the charge for re verification. Its really shame for ICAI if its students are not able to clear the exam. Then they should improve their study pattern, instead of thinking about revenue of the institute. For three or four years students sacrificed every thing to get the degree but just because of some selfish people they are not able to fulfill their dream. Now ICAI and career of CA students are property of few selfish people. If economy is the criteria for result then they should inform that while joining the course and not at final level when student have no other career option. Or atleast before the exam so that students will not appear in that term to demoralise owm confidence.

I think now its a high time to take some action by Govt. of India against ICAI which few people thinks their owm property.
