and A will recv consideration from Mumbai branch of B Inc

As the recepient in Mumbai & the payment also reced from B, Mumbai dealer , so the will be POS will be MUMBAI

as per my opinion POS is Mumbai since both receiver & provider are in Mumbai. & payment also rec'd in INR.
but receiver is arguing that place of supply shall be Japan.
