Quick Summary
This discussion explores the applicability of GST on Paying Guest (PG) accommodation. The core question is whether PG services are considered residential property and thus exempt, or if GST is applicable based on rent thresholds. While a general view suggests exemption for rent below £1,000 per room, the applicability can depend on the agreement's duration and daily/monthly charges exceeding certain limits.

In my view it can be treated as exempted under GST if getting below Rs.1,000/- per Room.

It is considered as residential property if the agreement with PG is long term otherwise GST will be applicable if room rent per day is above 1000₹
They are charging 8000/- per month
It will be treated as residential property
