Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the perquisite value for a 1600cc company car used for personal purposes with a company-provided driver. It outlines the calculation method, which includes employer expenses for running and maintenance, chauffeur remuneration, and wear and tear, minus any amount charged to the employee. The query highlights confusion over fixed perquisite amounts (£1800 for car, £900 for driver) and seeks clarification on whether these are standard rates based on engine capacity.

I was solving a question where no amount was given. But in solution, 1800 per month for car and 900 per month for driver was treated as perquisite. How come? is there some specification regarding amount to be charged as per cc of car ??
