Pension account amount in epf under in 80c

Hi there,

For a salarised person the EPF contribution that comes from employer is divided into two parts. one part goes to EPF and other (12%) goes into pension account. My previous employer never contributed his part of EPF and all EPF came from my side, so never faced the below question.

Under 80C I can show EPF contribtions. So with current employer my end of EPF contribution goes to about 42K par annum and 42K (EPF + 12% pension account) is been contributed by employer. Can I claim the amount that is being put into my epf pension account by employer under 80C? (So something like 84 K here under 80C)

or I am only allowed to claim: my EPF contribution + Employer EPF contribution?

I don't understand your question.

FIRST , U/S 80C YOU CAN ONLY AVAIL EPF CONSTRIBUTION  , NOT EPS

SECOND ,CHECK YOU PAY SLIP AND OTHERS DETIAL WHICH IS PROVIDE BY YOU EMPLOYEER TO YOU

GOOD LUCK!

So EPS (Employee Pension Scheme) isn't part of 80C. Thanks. So under 80C I can only claim: my EPF contriubution + employer's epf contribution.

BTW here is snippet of EPF slip till Oct16.

Assuming this is final sheet for fiscal 16-17, I can only claim 33347, right?
