i have serious doubts about the evaluation process of ICAI, in Nov 09 attempt i scored 27 in after attempting 70 marks paper, but was expecting to pass ,then in may 10 i scored 55 in law out of 65 marks attempted paper this time i was expectin between 40-45,can any one tell how a difference of 28 marks arise as in both the attempts my preparation and the style of answering the paper was same

Dear student, first you must understand yourself. In first time you have got  less marks? Because your presentation is not good. Institute even does not expect every section must quote by the student. Even though you have not quoted section you can get exemption. Presentation part to get marks mot how much marks you have attented. I am final student. I got 60 percent in all theory papers in intermediate and final group-2 now i got 60 in auditing final paper. so concept and presentation is important

in the 1st attempt u would have thought that u have answered everything correctly but it would have been wrong. But in may attempt u would have thought u have answered wrongly but it would have been correct.

So dont have any expectations.Dont discuss answers with ur friends.wait for the suggested answers of ICAi and check ur answers with it.

even in my attempt i thot i would just pass the law paper but i ended up getting 63

see i dont know about the presentation part but in both attempts my concepts were clear as i answered the case studies correctly, yet still i dont know why such a difference cause of that 27 i am still stuck up in pcc as i had crossed 300 in nov 09 and also passed in every sub of group 2
