payment to transporter

dear all,

i have a query...as per rule we can pay upto 35 thousand in cash to transporters,
but if the total transport cost is 40000/-(35000 beign paid on 1 day n balance the next day) then is it such that we either pay the full amount in cash or ful in cheque but both cash n cheque on a single transportation bill is not advisbe?
