do i need to pay within 180 days to creditor to get gst credit?

YES HAVE TO PAY WITHIN 180 DAYS 

OTHERWISE HAVE TO REVERSE THE ITC AVAILED

u can take credit now but if u hadn't paid the amount to the creditor within 180 days the input credit taken will be added to the output liability of the month of expiration of such 180 days.

Yes i agree with the above views and  whenever you will make payment  to the supplier you will be eligible to re-avail the credit which was reversed earlier.
