Hi All,

The matter is minor though trying to find out correct rule for it.

Can anyone ( EG Mr. X ) pay for other non blood relative's advance tax from his account( Mr. X's account)  online?

What is IT Depts Guideline for it.

I was looking forward to create an IT challan and its number for one of my friend who does not have online access by paying advance tax for Rs. 10/-  but thought to ask this wise quiestion.

Anticipate some one can throw light ..

I am sure that out of this club i will get correct answer.

Regards

yes you can pay his advance tax but you have to collect cheque of the same amount which you will pay...

example if you paid Rs. 5150/- advance tax so you have to collect cheque of Rs. 5150/- from him and deposit into your account....

Thanks

Yes you can pay... Therez no rule that assessee himself has to pay.

agree with all above

Yes you can pay and credit him in your books with the same amount
