how to validate password as i had sent to validate password for income tax to validate @ incometaxindia.gov.in & reply from them was as below

Dear Taxpayer,

Thank you for contacting efiling Unit.

Please note : "The new efiling login password would be shared to the registered email id"

please help me to sort out from the above problem as many tax consultants do not pass on the password set by them to us

now the it dept is sending new password to only registered e mail id

till then if u have income below 5 lakhs den file manual return

you can reset the password using digital signature.

From 28.09.2013, you can reset the password using even the new digital signature.

Exactly. In forgot password, DSC option now allows new DSC, With this you can reset password.

IT department sends the passwords to the registered email id of the user. Your password may have been sent to your email id registered at the time of registration. Pl check your email.

I have one client. He gave to file retrun for A.Y. 11-12 to previos tax consultant. He never given pwd to the client. Now Client trying to upload return for A.Y.12-13 &13-14. He have no details as per requirement of IT dept. Password reset option. How he will recover his details.

If you send details to validate @ income tax .gov., then the new password will go to the registered mail id.

If we dont have the details as per the requirement of Forgot password,

then the only option is to take digital signature & change the password

After the recent news of hacking IT accounts of big names (ambani,sachin,dhoni,etc),now department is sending mails only to registered email addresses.
