Dear all,

I have appeared in two modules (I & III) of CS professional Prog in june 2013 terms.Being a CMA, I have taken exemption in Financial, Treasury and Forex Management of Module-III. Kindly let me know, if I required to get minimum 100 marks in module-I and 50 marks in module-III, or 150 marks in combining all the three papers ( having minimum 40 marks in an individual paper) will be sufficient to qualify both the modules.

Thanks in advance. Regards,

CMA Arvind Kumar Sinha.

The benefit of set-off can be availed when you appear in all the modules in one sitting. In a case when you appear in the exam by opting to write single or both or three modules, then you will have to satisfy the condition of securing a minimum of 40 marks and an aggregate of 50% overall. However, in case a candidate has got exemption, he or she must secure a minimum of 50% in the other paper, so as to declate the candidate to have passed that module.

In your case, in Module I, you need to secure 100 or more marks subject to minimum of 40 marks in one paper and balance in other paper. Module III, in SMAIT you ought to score 50, so that the Institute can declare you as passed.

Thanks Mr. Sathish.

Mr.Satish:

For CMA, if one takes up professional exams all modules (by availing exemption in two papers based on ICWAI0, whether the benefit of set off would be allowed.

Is it enough if the score is above 40 in all individual subjects and aggregate of all the subjects put together (6 papers) is 300 and above. In that case Module wise would not be considered is it not?

Please clarify

Mr. Sivas, I am not aware about CWA regulations.
